Alleged Rape: Twitter Influencer, Dr. Olufunmilayo Demands £10,000 Compensation From Accuser, Bola Aseyan
UK-based Nigerian Doctor and Twitter influencer, Olufunmilayo Harvey has filed a £10,000 (N4.8m) defamation lawsuit against his sexual assault accuser, Bola Aseyan.
On June 30, a lady identified as Bola Aseyan, who is also a Doctor, accused Olufunmilayo of sexually and emotionally abusing her in a series of tweets.
The UK-based Doctor after hours of silence responded to the allegation with a lengthy rebuttal statement, detailing what supposedly transpired between them.
He stated that he met the lady on social media and they began a relationship, which was later plagued with issues.
Olufunmilayo revealed that in an attempt to salvage the relationship before it eventually finally ended, the lady traveled from Nigeria to the UK and lived with him for 4 months.
He also recalled that they had consensual sex twice, one of which Aseyan later alleged to be not consensual.
The Twitter inflencer vehemently denied ever sexually or emotionally assaulting Aseyan.
In the new development, Dr. Olufunmilayo has now sued the lady for defaming him by falsely accusing him.
The Doctor made this known by posting a copy of a letter from his lawyer on Twitter, demanding £10,000 (N4.8m) as compensation for ‘causing serious harm and disrepute’ to the reputation of Olufunmilayo.
According to him, his legal team sent the document to Aseyan since Thursday, July 2 but she has not acknowledged it.
His tweet reads;
