Nunieh alleged that during her time as the head of the agency she was asked to spend N10 billion on Christmas bonus and other things which she tagged as ‘frivolous spending’.
She said she rejected the idea and other appeal to commit fraudulent acts on the order of Akpabio, which according to her contributed to her removal from office.
The former MD alleged Akpabio hijacked the forensic audit of the commission ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Nunieh said;
I challenge him to say that he did not give me any oath on the certificate of no objection that he has. I am proud and I must encourage all Nigerians that we must save this country.
He said I did not bring money and that I was talking to ministers against his presidential ambition. He gave me a list of people to employ, I said I will not employ them because the youths in our zone have not gotten jobs.
The minister is expected to address these allegations and the N40billion probe of the NDDC.
