Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 576 new cases of coronavirus and 344 recoveries on Tuesday.
According to the centre’s latest data posted on Twitter;

On Monday, the country’s total coronavirus exceeded the 37,000 mark having 37,225 cases with 15,333 discharged patients and 801 causalities.
However, with the new toll, there are now 37,801 total cases, 15, 677 recoveries and 805 death cases across the country.
Also, according to NCDC’s situation report, total samples tested nationwide have increased from 214,228 to 218,223 as at July 20
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has activated five new COVID-19 testing laboratories across 30 States of the federation.
The five new laboratories are – Edo Specialist Hospital, Benin; ATBU Teaching Hospital, Bauchi; Rivers Indorama Company Molecular Lab; State Specialist Hospital, Amachara, Abia; and University of Abuja, Gwagwalada GX Lab.
The NCDC disclosed this in a statement Tuesday in Abuja, saying there are now 58 cumulative tally of laboratories in the Molecular Laboratory Network.
There are currently 46 PCR diagnostic machines and 12 GeneXpert laboratories in Nigeria.
