Breaking: NCDC Confirms 648 New COVID-19 Cases As Total Figure Exceeds 41,000
Total coronavirus cases in Nigeria has exceeded 41,000 after Nigeria Centre for Disease Control recorded 648 new cases.
NCDC in a tweet on Monday has now announced;

It would be recalled that on Sunday, the country’s total coronavirus surpassed the 40,000 mark, recording 40,532 infections, 17,374 recoveries and 858 death cases across the country.
With the latest toll, total cases have now increased to 41,180 with 18,203 recoveries and 860 casualties across the country.
Also, NCDC in its July 26 situation report has revealed that overall samples tested nationwide have increased from 262,579 to 266,323.
In other news, 12 aides of the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi have reportedly contracted coronavirus.
According to the Nation, The affected aides include some of the cabinet members, domestic staff and security aides to Governor Fayemi.
This comes days after the governor directed all his aides and appointees to go for COVID -19 tests to ascertain their status.

Fayemi himself had last Wednesday announced on his verified Twitter handle that he has tested positive and had gone into self-isolation as part of measures to curb spread of the infection.
