Breaking: Total COVID-19 Toll Exceeds 31,000 As NCDC Confirms 575 New Cases
Nigeria’s tally of COVID-19 cases has risen to over 31,000 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms 575 new infections.
The centre made the announcement late Friday via its Twitter handle, bringing total confirmed infections to 31,323 cases.

The new toll comes two days after total infections figure in Nigeria spiked to over 30,000 cases.
Also, successfully managed cases have risen from 12,546 to 12,795.
However, death toll has risen from 689 confirmed yesterday to 709 casualties nationwide.
Meanwhile, according to NCDC’s situation report, overall samples tested nationwide have increased from 171,931 to 175,655 as at July 9.
In other news, Lagos State Government has on Friday discharged 50 more COVID-19 patients who have fully recovered from the viral disease.
The patients which include 26 foreign nationals are 13 females and 37 males.
Six of the patients were from Agidingbi, 14 from Eti-Osa (LandMark) 22 from Onikan, 1 from Vidic and 7 from LUTH Isolation Centres.
They were discharged after full recovery and testing negative to COVID19.
