’s latest studio album, ‘A Good Time’ has reportedly hit over one billion total streams and he is projected to earn up to $11m as streaming royalties.

Columbia Records United Kingdom announced the streaming record on its official Twitter page.

The 17-track album was released on November 22, 2019, through Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), RCA Records and Sony Music.

The project featured from Chris Brown, Summer Walker, Gunna, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Dremo, Peruzzi, Popcaan, Zlatan, Yonda, Wurld and Naira Marley.

These are definitely good times for the singer, as the same album in February got certified platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa in just three months of its release.

In February, the album along with two singles on it; “Blow My Mind” featuring Chris Brown and “Risky” featuring Jamaican dancehall act Popcaan, were certified platinum in the United States. “Risky” went double platinum.

Platinum certification is used to recognise an album that has sold 1 million copies or a single that has sold 2 million copies.

“Fall”, a single single off the album has also continued to break records three years after it was initially released.

The single was one of the top-100-most-Shazam-searched singles in America in January 2019, according to Rolling Stone magazine.

In February 2019, it became the longest-charting Nigerian pop song in Billboard history. The music video for “Fall” currently stands at 174 million views on YouTube, the most for any Nigerian music video.

As of March 2020, “Fall” received over 40 million streams on Spotify, and has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America(RIAA) and Music Canada.

These accolades comes in great stead for Davido’s eagerly anticipated third album, A Better Time.

Davido continues to record and ramp efforts for his third album as he was recently spotted in the studio with Hitboy and Nas.
