A former chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association in Ondo State, Dr Michael Adeyeri, has died of COVID-19.
The current chairman of the NMA, Dr Wale Oke, confirmed the incident to journalists on Thursday.
Late Dr. Adeyeri who is the founder of Shekinah Hospital, Alagbaka was said is have died in his hospital after attending to a patient.
The late doctor had been battling underlying illness before he contracted the deadly virus.

The death of the medical consultant comes a week after the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Wahab Adegbenro, died of the same virus.
