Just In: NCDC Confirms 604 New Coronavirus Cases, 246 Recoveries
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has announced 604 new cases of coronavirus and 246 recoveries on Thursday night.
According to the centre’s latest data posted on Twitter;

On Wednesday, the country’s total coronavirus exceeded the 38,000 mark having 38,344 cases with 15,815 discharged patients and 813 causalities.
However, with the new toll, there are now 38,948 total cases, 16,061 recoveries and 833 death cases across the country.
Also, according to NCDC’s situation report, total samples tested nationwide have increased from 247,825 to 251,893 as at July 22.
Meanwhile, Lagos state Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi has disclosed that COVID-19 cases are likely to peak in the month of August.
He said this during an ongoing press briefing at the Bagaulto Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa, Ikeja.
Abayomi said;
Based on postulations, COVID-19 cases are like to peak next month; we are hoping it peaks soon and the curve eventually gets flattened.
