Just In: NCDC Confirms 624 New Coronavirus Cases, 561 Recoveries

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has announced 624 new cases of coronavirus and 561 recoveries on Tuesday night.

According to the centre’s latest data posted on Twitter;

On Monday, the country’s total coronavirus exceeded the 41,000 mark having 41,180 cases with 18,203 discharged patients and 860 causalities.

However, with the new toll, there are now 41,804 total cases, 18,764 recoveries and 868 death cases across the country.

Also, according to NCDC’s situation report, total samples tested nationwide have increased from 266,323 to 267,842 as at July 27.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Government has on Tuesday announced the recovery and discharge of 62 coronavirus patients, comprising 51 Nigerians and 11 foreign nationals.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said the patients were discharged after testing negative twice to the disease.

In a statement, Sanwo-Olu said;

Good people of Lagos, today, 62 COVID19Lagos patients; 19 females and 43 males including 11 foreign nationals, were discharged from our Isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

The patients; 22 from Eti-Osa (LandMark); 7 from Onikan; 10 from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba; 2 from Gbagada, 4 from Agidingbi and 17 from LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged after full recovery.
