Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Samuel Olorunwa Ajayi, has resigned from his position and his membership of the party.
Ajayi tendered his resignation letter at the party secretariat on Friday and announced he has joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This comes less than two weeks to the APC’s governorship primary election in Ondo state.
The former APC chairman is reportedly an ally of Agboola Ajayi, deputy governor of the state who recently defected from the APC to the PDP.

Ondo state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu and Ajayi have been at loggerheads which further escalated after the deputy quit the ruling party and indicated interest to run against Akeredolu in October governorship election.
