Barrister Jude Ojegwu, father of actress Regina Daniels, who was against her marrying Ned Nwoko, has revealed that he has reconciled with the billionaire after the couple welcomed their first child, his grandchild.

He was reportedly against the marriage of his 20-year old daughter to the already married business mogul and politician.

Barrister Ojegwu initially opposed the union, stating that his daughter was only a 17-year-old teenager and not 20 as she claimed.

However, speaking during the naming ceremony of his grandchild, he chose to reconcile with her daughter’s husband as a result of the birth of the baby, for the sake of peace, joy, and happiness.

The naming ceremony took place in Abuja on Friday.

He revealed that he had called his daughter to tell her that she was threading on a wrong path, but she told him of her love the politician.

The actress’ father said;

The birth of this child has answered the question (about the controversy); everybody craves for peace, joy, and happiness. I have accepted everything. I feel very happy having a grandchild and that is why I am here.

I travelled all the way from Lagos to this place just to celebrate with the family. I told him (Nwoko) and the mother to call him Ifechukwude which means what God has written.
