Aisha, wife of Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has been flown to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) for severe neck pain treatment.
According to SaharaReporters, the First Lady was flown to the Arabian country last weekend during the Muslim Sallah holiday after complaining of neck pain.
A top Presidential aide told ThePunch that the First Lady started having severe neck pain during the 2019 Presidential electioneering and she sought treatment abroad afterwards.
The source added;
However, recently the pain returned and was even worse than the first time. So, she was flown out last week. It was indeed a medical emergency.
The neck pain returned shortly after Mrs Buhari returned to Abuja from a trip to Lagos in July where she had visited Florence, widow of former Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi, who died of coronavirus complications on June 25, 2020.

Upon her return to Abuja, Aisha was said to have self-isolated for 14 days in line with the coronavirus safety precaution.
However, reports stated that the First Lady’s neck pain worsened shortly after she completed the 14-day isolation period, forcing the decision to fly her to UAE for medical treatment.
The First Lady, who is now observing bed rest at an undisclosed hospital, is in a stable condition.
On July 31, she observed the Eid El-Kabir prayers at presidential villa with her family complying to advisories from the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 and the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA).
