A lady identified as Mary Daramola has reportedly been raped and murdered in Akinyele area of Ibadan, Oyo state.
The incident has raised suspicion that the suspected serial killer, Sunday Shodipe is not the only criminal operating in the community.
Shodipe was re-arrested earlier in the week after he escaped from police custody on August 11. After he was apprehended, the suspect confessed to killing a woman after he escaped from police custody.

Daramola was allegedly raped and killed at Alabata community, near Moniya, in Akinyele Local Government.
The spokesperson of the state police command, Olugbenga Fadeyi, who confirmed the incident to The Nation, saying it took place on Monday, August 24, a day after Shodipe was re-arrested.
He stated that a suspect has been arrested over the incident and that the suspect has been transferred to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for investigation.
Fadeyi added that the police have launched a full-scale investigation into the unfortunate incident.
Over five persons have been brutally killed in the Akinyele area of the state in the last four months. Sunday Shodipe was arrested as the prime suspect in the killings alongside two other persons.
