Breaking: NCDC Confirms 138 New Cases – Lowest Single-Day Toll In Four Months

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 138 new cases of coronavirus in the country – lowest single day toll confirmed in four months.

NCDC in a tweet on its official Twitter handle on Sunday, August 30 announced;

It would be recalled that on Saturday, the country’s total cases was 53,727 with 41,314 recoveries and 1011 casualties across the country.

With the latest toll, total cases have now increased to 53,865 with 41,513 recoveries and 1013 casualties across the country.

Also, NCDC in its latest situation report has revealed that overall samples tested nationwide have increased from 398,304 to 402,070 as at August 30.

Meanwhile, Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and her children have recovered from coronavirus.

This comes 15 days after the 42-year-oldmovie star took to social media to disclose that she contracted the virus, while also stating her children also got infected.

Announcing their health status on her Instagram page, Omotola also mentioned some of the drugs and health precaution that helped them overcome the ailment.

She said;

Vitamins – VitC (1000ml) , vitD and Zinc daily and please WEAR A MASK. Please maintain physical distancing, wear a mask properly and wash your hands regularly.

The mother of four revealed that many people have the virus but treated it as malaria, urging the general public to go for proper testing and take precaution.
