Breaking: NCDC Records 160 New Coronavirus Cases, 291 Recoveries
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 160 new cases, 291 recoveries on Friday, August 28.
NCDC in a tweet on its official Twitter handle announced;

On Thursday, the country’s total caseload was 53,327 with 40,726 recoveries and 1,011 fatalities nationwide.
With the latest toll, total cases have now increased to 53,477 with 41,017 recoveries and 1,011 casualties across the country.
Also, NCDC in its latest situation report has revealed that overall samples tested nationwide have increased from 391,502 to 394,524 as at August 28.
In other news, two new laboratories have been activated for inclusion in the NCDC molecular laboratory network.
The labs are Bayelsa Medical University, Molecular Biology Lab, Bayelsa State and University of Port Harcourt Regional Centre for Biotechnology & Bioresources Research, Rivers State.
There are now 66 laboratories completed in 34 states in Nigeria and have been functional in the early detection of coronavirus.
