Breaking: NCDC Records 250 New Coronavirus Cases, 297 Recoveries, No Death
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 250 new cases, 297 recoveries and no death on Saturday, August 29.

On Friday, the country’s total caseload was 53,477 with 41,017 recoveries and 1,011 fatalities nationwide.
With the latest toll, total cases have now increased to 53,727 with 41,314 recoveries and 1,011 casualties across the country.
Also, NCDC in its latest situation report has revealed that overall samples tested nationwide have increased from 394,524 to 398,304 as at August 29.
Meanwhile, Taraba state governor, Darius Ishaku has commissioned a remodeled GeneXpert Laboratory Centre for COVID-19 testing in the state.
The testing centre is located within the state specialist hospital.
Ishaku who spoke during the commissioning of the testing center, said the provision of the laboratory was in fulfillment of his promise during his visit to one of the Isolation centres in the state a few months back.
He also said sample collection centres would be opened in some local government areas of the state for suspected cases.
The sample collection centres according to him will be sited in the three Senatorial zones.
Ishaku added;
The testing center facility adds to the number of treatment facilities the state has, increasing the capacity for managing COVID-19 in the state.
