He Will Win A Grammy – Nigerians React To Burna Boy’s New Album Twice As Tall
Singer, Damini Ogulu better known as Burna Boy’s highly anticipated album ‘Twice As Tall’ has finally been released on Friday, August 14 and fans worldwide have a lot to say about the body of work.
The new album follows the success of his critically acclaimed fourth album, ‘African Giant,’ which was nominated for a Grammy award, won him BET and MTV Europe Music Awards.

Executive produced by Sean “Diddy” Combs, the 15-track set include appearances from Naughty by Nature, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Stormzy, Senegal’s Youssou N’dour, and Kenyan band Sauti Sol, with contributions from Timbaland, Anderson.Paak, Mario Winans, and Mike Dean.
The project, which Diddy has called the “album of the year,” was mostly recorded in Lagos during the coronavirus lockdown in Nigeria.
Eleven of the 15 tracks were produced by Nigerian producers, eight of which are from the singer’s record label – Spaceship Collective.
Burna Boy released the P-Diddy produced album on Friday morning and within an hour it had 5 million streams.
Alongside the album, Burna Boy has also released his official comic book “The Secret Flame.” Narrated by his grandfather Benson Idonije, the animated visual follows Burna Boy through a spiritual journey of discovering oneself.
The singer reportedly travelled to the UK and had his listening party on his Instagram live and fans were on hand to show love to the album.
Some fans worldwide have said ‘Twice as Tall’ album will outperform last year’s album, the ‘African Giant’.

Let it be on record that Wizkid helped Drake and then Beyoncé ‘s careers. Davido put Chris Brown on the map and Burna Boy gave Diddy an opportunity to showcase his talent as a back-up singer on his #TwiceAsTall album. We rise by lifting others. 💪🏽🇳🇬 pic.twitter.com/0nG2fhzgYj

With this album, the African giant is up there with both Wizkid and Davido. And the truth is, lyrically, Burna is better than both Wizkid and Davido. Future generations will get the message just as we vibe to Fela today. Odogwu on a Grammy level. #TWICEASTALL
