Indian Widower Commissions Lifelike Wax Sculpture Of Late Wife To Keep Her Memory Alive (photos)
An Indian widower who lost his wife in a car crash has commissioned a lifelike wax sculpture of her to keep her memory alive.
Srinivasa Gupta, 57, lost his wife Madhavi Gupta in a fatal car accident three years ago which also involved the couple’s daughters, who sustained minor injuries.
Prior to her death, she had reportedly dreamed of having a bungalow of her own. To honor his late wife, Gupta then decided to set out plans to make the bungalow a reality after her death.
According to The News Minute, he held discussions with 25 architects, and one of them suggested the idea of the life-size statue of his wife, which was later erected in a bungalow in Koppal, in the Indian state of Karnataka.
On August 8, guests honored an invite to the housewarming ceremony at Srinivasa Gupta’s residence and were left stunned at the statue’s striking resemblance to Gupta’s late wife.
He said;
Everyone was so surprised. They all believed for a few seconds that it could actually be my wife. I wanted to do something special in memory of my wife. She died three years ago in a car accident. This is the kind of gesture I was looking for. I placed the order about a year ago. I gave them several pictures of my wife. She looks so real.
Gupta stressed;
It is a great feeling to have my wife again at my home, as this was her dream home. An artist, Shreedhar Murthy, from Bengaluru took a year to prepare my wife’s statue. Silicon was used for the statue for durability.
Our artist suggested me to have silicon statue instead of the wax statue as we live in Koppal which is a hot place, and an AC (air-conditioning) cant be open all the time to maintain the wax. So as per the suggestion, we got the silicon statue prepared.
Wow, that’s lovely
This one shock me ooo
