Just In: Total COVID-19 Caseload Exceeds 52,000 As NCDC Confirms 322 New Cases
Total coronavirus caseload in Nigeria has exceeded 52,000 after Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 322 new cases on Sunday, August 23.
NCDC in a tweet on its official Twitter handle announced;

It would be recalled that on Saturday, the country’s total case was 51,905 with 38,945 recoveries and 997 casualties across the country.
With the latest toll, total cases have now increased to 52,227 with 38,945 recoveries and 1002 casualties across the country.
Also, NCDC in its latest situation report has revealed that overall samples tested nationwide have increased from 374,077 to 378,023 as at August 22.
In other news, Adamawa Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Stephen Mamza, has tested positive for coronavirus and has gone into isolation for treatment.
Mamza, who is the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Yola, disclosed his COVID-18 status in a statement on Sunday.
The Catholic Bishop, who is also a member of the Adamawa State COVID-19 Containment Committee, advised everyone to ascertain their coronavirus status cand adhere to all indicated precautions.
