United States has handed 200 ventilators to the Federal Government on Tuesday, August 11.
This is in fulfillment of the promise made by the US President Donald Trump during a telephone conversation with President Muhammadu Buhari in April 2020.
The medical equipment was handed over to the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, by the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Leonard, at a ceremony in Abuja on Tuesday morning.
Presenting the ventilators, Leonard said the US is committed to helping African countries defeat the global pandemic.
The machines were handed to the Premier Medical Warehouse in the nation’s capital, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
