Ondo 2020: Jimoh Ibrahim Dumps PDP, Joins APC
Ahead of the October 10 governorship election in Ondo State, businessman, Jimoh Ibrahim, has joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Ibrahim, who was received into the APC by the party’s chairman in the state, Ade Adetimehin, at a ceremony held in Igbotako, Okitipupa local government area of the state, said he would assist Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in his re-election bid.
He also vowed to ensure the total collapse of the PDP in the state, adding that the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) was not a threat to the APC.
The business mogul cum politician, who was a factional PDP candidate in 2016 governorship election, said that he would deploy resources to ensure Akeredolu re-election.
Ibrahim said;
Today, I am officially joining the APC and donating the campaign vehicles to support Akeredolu; I will pull resources and do everything humanly possible for his re-election because of his impressive performance in the state.
I brought PDP into reckoning in the state and I will as well withdraw my support from the party, I will channel resources to dislodged PDP and other parties in the state in favour of Akeredolu. What happened in 2016 will replay again for Akeredolu to win. I urge all residents in the Southern district to go out emasse and vote for APC on October 10.
Ibrahim stressed;
I do not want to sound proud, but I revived PDP in this state. I know how I revived the party and I am going to use the same strategy to kill the PDP. I have received the broom from our party chairman here. This night, I will do something. I will give the PDP its poison. I know how I revived the party, I will poison the party to death again.
Where is Zenith Labour Party in this state? The painful thing is that Agboola (Ajayi) – the deputy Governor, saw a golden opportunity and missed it to join the train of betrayers.
