American actress and comedian, Tiffany Haddish that revealed that she tested positive for coronavirus few months ago.
She made this known during an interview session with the leading expert on infectious diseases in the US, Dr. Anthony Fauci, which she posted on her YouTube channel.
The movie star disclosed that she contracted the virus about three months ago after working on a movie set where someone else tested positive.
Haddish said her first test came back negative, but she got tested again when someone else she knew tested positive and she found out she was positive.
She explained;
I was working on a movie and someone in the movie contracted coronavirus. I was not in direct contact with them. But they sent all of us home, we stopped the movie. They suggested I go get tested. I got tested, got the results back two days later, they said I didn’t have the coronavirus.
Get the tests the second time. I’m not feeling any symptoms or anything, and it comes back like two days later, and they said I did have the coronavirus.
The ‘GirlsTrip’ star revealed that she went into self-quarantine after getting her COVID-19 test result.
She also stated that months ago she had the antibodies for the virus – antibody is a protein produced by the body’s immune system when it detects harmful substances, called antigens – but another recent test revealed she no longer has them.
The actress went on to disclose that she been tested 12 times because she is working on different projects.
She added;
I have been tested 12 times now because I’ve been working. Then I get tested again, no virus, and then I had them test me for antibodies again, and then they said I don’t have any antibodies. So I think I’m superhuman.
During their chat, Fauci and Haddish also discussed coronavirus vaccine efforts, the ways the virus specifically affects the African American community, ways people can protect themselves, and more.
