Fraud Saga: ‘Your Apology Is An Epistle Laced With Pride’ – Actor Mike Ezuruonye Knocks Kunle Afolayan
Nollywood actor, Mike Ezuruonye has expressed dissatisfaction at filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan‘s apology to him over fraud allegation.
Last week, Afolayan shared a Direct Message (DM) in which Ezuruonye was accused of defrauding women online.
The filmmaker then captioned it in Yoruba language as ‘E gba mi, ewo ntemi’, which simply means “Help Me, what is my own?”.
However, Ezuruonye who was angered by the shared DM took to his Instagram page on Sunday, September 27, and slammed the movie producer.
He tagged Afolayan ‘anti-igbo’ for sharing the DM without first making clarifications about the fraud allegations from him.
Reacting to this, Afolayan released a lengthy statement giving clarification for why he shared the screenshot publicly, and also denied Ezuruonye‘s accusation of being tribalistic.
However, the actor has expressed that he feels Afolayan’s statement is not an apology for his wrongdoing by sharing a post explaining what a “sincere apology” is all about.
Ezuruonye wrote;
A sincere Apology has Three Parts
I’m sorry
It’s my fault
What can we do to make this workNOT an EPISTLE with Very UNDERLINED PRIDE.
