Singer, Rema Goes On Twitter Rant, Speaks About Music Industry, Young Artistes, His Music Journey, Police Bill And More
Mavin artiste, Rema has left many fans worried after going on a lengthy rant via Twitter on Monday, September 28.
The singer known for mostly promoting his art on social media or occasionally engaging with fans shared a lot of deeply personal tweets in which he highlighted his past and present experiences in the music industry.
Rema’s first tweet started off with the young musician speaking about how a lot of people think he is undeserving of his current position, even when they have no idea about what he has gone through in time past.
According to the Mavin signee, he got to the top with his fair share of struggle and countless rejections.
Rema while addressing industry colleagues noted that no one should label him as a proud or rude artist simply because he keeps to himself in social settings.
According to the singer, it is all because he is very protective of his spirit and flesh.
Niggas don’t wanna see a kid win, they feel I got it too easy. I shower with my sweat, we go off on this side like the days in BENIN it got nun to do with my deal, come and sign these papers without a hustler spirit, you gone lose! Management gone change my password now lol 💀

In a different round of tweets, Rema extended his appreciation to former US president, Barrack Obama, for listening to his music.
Rema disclosed that he made the particular song Obama liked at the age of 18 and many people never believed in the record as he did.
Thank you OBAMA for seeing what I saw in Ironman, lot of niggas couldn’t. I was 18 when I made that song, the beat got 6 sounds. I’ll give that simple beat to half the game and I won’t get a record as strong as IRONMAN.

Similarly, the musician also made mention of how he was already making money before singer D’Prince brought him into the Mavin crew.
I told D’prince sir I’m making money where I’m at I think I’m good. D’prince said to me stop what you’re doing and come to me boy “you’re the chosen one”, this music shit is gonna pay if you trust me!

Appreciating those who helped his career, the singer gave a worthy mention to popular producer Ozedikus, who he said had broken his managements rules by sneakily sending beats to him.
According to Rema, all the beats ended up producing hit songs.
Ozedikus took risks for me, he was under a management with guidelines. He sneaked beats to me so I could record when my first engineer left me because we couldn’t pay him at the time. All the beats Ozedikus sneaked are now HITS.

The young musician also talked about being abandoned by friends after his brother died, saying that is why he is not comfortable around people.
He accused such people of loving him because he has something to offer them.
When my late brother did house parties y’all came, when he died only 2 friends stood beside his death bed. That’s why I’m not comfortable around people, they love me because I have something to offer, You know yourselves don’t let me catch you!!!

He then urged young acts like Fireboy, Joeboy, Oxlade, Omah Lay, Crayon and more to be genuinely friends with each other.
