A tanker exploded at a filling station on Ajayi Road, Ogba in Lagos State on Tuesday, October 27.
Eyewitnesses said the explosion occurred as a kerosene tanker was offloading at Yerevan Oil.
It was also gathered that the fire was contained by Lagos State Fire Service within an hour after nearby shops and a transformer had been burnt.
Head, Public Affairs of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident, saying recovery operation was ongoing.
As at the time of filing this report, the extent of the damage and the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
