Total COVID-19 Toll Surpasses 59,000 As Nigeria Records 153 New Cases
Nigeria’s total coronavirus toll has exceeded 58,000 after Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 153 new cases.
The nation also recorded 94 recoveries and no new death within the past 24 hours.
The new toll comes 6 days after the country’s total coronavirus surpassed 58,000 caseload.
The health agency made this known in a tweet in Thursday night, October 1, which reads;

The 153 new cases reported on Thursday were from 14 states, including Lagos (81), Rivers (21), FCT (11), Ogun (8), Kaduna (7), Oyo (6), Akwa Ibom (5), Osun (3), Katsina (3), Edo (2), Ebonyi (2), Nasarawa (2), Plateau (1), and Kano (1).

On Wednesday, Nigeria recorded 58,848 total cases, 50,358 discharged and 1,112 fatalities across the country.
Till date, there are now a total of 59,001 cases with 50,452 cases discharged and 1,112 deaths recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Lagos remains the country’s epicentre for the virus as its total confirmed cases nears 20,000.
