Federal High Court in Abuja has granted the request of the Central Bank of Nigeria to freeze the accounts of 19 individuals and a public affairs company linked to #EndSARS protests.
According to Channels Television, the request, granted by Justice Ahmed Mohammed, was filed by the CBN on October 20.
The new development comes few days after some protesters lamented over the freeze of their accounts.
In addition, Federal Government has been accused of compiling a ‘no-fly list’ of Nigerian youths who actively participated in the #ENDSARS protests across the country, an allegation which it has described as fake news.
The denial was made despite the seizure of passport of one of #EndSARS protest frontliners, Modupe ‘Moe’ Odele by Immigration Service.
