#EndSARS: Lagos Judicial Panel Resumes Sitting, Reviews CCTV Footage From Lekki Tollgate Shooting
Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution set up by Lagos State Government to investigate police brutality and high-handedness by some officials of the now-disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has commended its fifth sitting.
The meeting which commenced at about 11:00am on Friday has in attendance the Managing Director of the Lekki Concession Company (LCC), Abayomi Omomuwa, counsel to the LCC, Rotimi Seriki Esq; counsel to the Lagos State Govt, A.J. Owonikoko (SAN) and counsel to the #EndSARS protesters, Adeshina Ademola Ogunlana, among others.
To aid investigation into happenings during Lekki tollgate shooting on October 20, the panel at about 11:35am began viewing footage captured by a surveillance camera at the night of shooting of peaceful #EndSARS protesters.

Soldiers have been accused of shooting at the peaceful protesters, injuring and killing some, an allegation the military has denied.
Panel chairman, Judge Emeritus Doris Okuwobi directed the footage, over 20 hours long, be played in full, following an application by Mr. Adesina Ogunlana.
Justice Okuwobi however turned down the request of Mr. Rotimi Seriki, for the panel to start viewing of the recording captured from about 5pm on October 20.
The shooting is said to have begun around 6 pm on October 20, with eyewitnesses like DJ Switch saying about 15 people were shot dead by soldiers.
In previous sittings, petitioners have come up to share grisly details of their ordeal in the hands of some rogue SARS officers.
More petitioners are also expected to be heard at the sitting today.
