NCDC Announces 236 New COVID-19 Cases, 120 Recoveries, No Death In Five Consecutive Days

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 236 new cases of coronavirus, 120 recoveries and no deaths on Wednesday, November 18.

No record of death from COVID-19 on Wednesday makes it five consecutive days without a record of death from the virus, according to official data.

The last time Nigeria recorded death from the virus was last Friday when one patient died, taking the tally to 1,163, as shown by data from NCDC.

The health agency made the announcement via its official Twitter page @NCDCgov, with the breakdown of the new cases.

The breakdown is as follows; Lagos-142, Ogun-19, Kaduna-15, FCT-14, Imo-14, Rivers-14, Plateau-6, Katsina-3, Ekiti-2, Jigawa-2, Oyo-2, Cross River-1, Kano-1 and Taraba-1.

Nigeria, on Monday, recorded 65,457 coronavirus cases, 61,337 successfully treated patients and 1,163 deaths.

With the new toll, there are now 65,693 confirmed cases of coronavirus, 61,457 patients who have recovered from the virus and 1,163 deaths.

Currently, Nigeria has tested nearly 720,000 of its 200 million population.
