US Election: Twitter Flags Trump’s Tweet Accusing Biden’s Democrats Of Trying To ‘Steal’ Election
Twitter has on Wednesday, November 4 flagged a tweet of US President Donald Trump accusing rival Joe Biden’s Democrats of “trying to steal” the election, without providing any evidence to his claim.
Twitter, the micro-blogging social platform, said;
Some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process.
US President Donald Trump had tweeted about a “big win” and said;
We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed.!
I will be making a statement tonight. A big WIN!.
We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!

President Trump’s original tweet, which misspelled polls as “Poles”, was deleted and replaced by a correct version.

Trump and Democratic presidential candidate Biden are neck and neck as polls are gradually closing across the US on Tuesday.
His tweets came immediately after Biden, in an address, told his supporters to “keep the faith” as votes were still being counted and it could be a long-haul.
He said;
We feel good about where we are. We have to be patient; we have to wait till every vote is counted… till every ballot is counted. But we feel good.
It is not for me or Donald Trump to decide. We have to wait and see…Keep the faith! We are going to win this.
Throughout the campaign, Trump has sought to cast doubt on the integrity of the electoral process, repeatedly alleging for instance that mail-in voting will lead to fraud.
Twitter, long criticized for not acting against baseless Trump claims, has in recent months, flagging such comments and others in which Trump was seen as glorifying violence.
