Woman Accused Of Witchcraft, Allegedly Caged For Three Years By Husband, Family Rescued In DeltaA mother of eight simply identified as Gladys who was accused of witchcraft and allegedly caged in her home in Orerokpe, Delta state for three years, has been rescued and taken to the hospital.

According to a Human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, who shared the story, the woman hails from Ozoro in Delta state but got married to her husband who is from Orerokpe, LIB reports.

He said the husband’s woman and his family members, after many years of marriage, accused the lady of being a witch and kept her into a cage built in his compound.

Harrison expressed that despite the allegation and being kept in a cage, the husband occasionally had sex with her.

The human rights activist said this resulted into pregnancy three times, while she was still inside the cage.

Harrison revealed that his organization, Behind Bars Initiative, caught wind of the woman’s deplorable state on Monday, November 16.

He and his team arrived in Orerokpe on Tuesday morning, November 17 and have moved the lady to the General Hospital in Orerokpe for treatment.
