Singer, Omah Lay has accused Uganda of preventing Nigeria’s Foreign Affair Ministry from intervening in his arrest and another artiste, Tems.
It would be recalled that the Nigerian fast-rising artistes were arrested in Uganda on Sunday for performing at a concert, which contravened COVID-19 safety protocol in the country.

The artistes performed on Saturday night at a concert that held in Speke Resort, Wavamunno Road in Kampala, Uganda.
Assistant Superintendent of Police and Deputy Police Spokesperson, Kampala Metropolitan Police, Luk Owoyesigyire confirmed their arrest on Sunday.
The duo have now been remanded in a Uganda police custody till Wednesday, December 14 asearlier plans of releasing them on police bond were suspended after their casefile was sanctioned by the Office of Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

However, Omah Lay in a tweet before their court appearance accused Uganda of preventing Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nigeria from stepping into the matter.
He tweeted that the ministry has been trying to secure their release all to no avail.

The singer while lamenting his continued detention queried why he has to take the fall for the situation.
He added;
