Buhari To Meet Freed Kankara Schoolboys TodayPresident Muhammadu Buhari is expected to meet with the released schoolboys abducted by bandits from Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, it has emerged.

It would be recalled that gunmen last Friday  invaded the school premises and abducted over 300 students after a gun duel with the police.

The abduction took place some hours after Buhari arrived in Daura for a week-long private visit.

Many Nigerians had criticized the President for not visiting the school after the incident to assess the situation and pacify parents.

Secretary to the Katsina State government Mustapha Inuwa has now told journalists that Buhari would meet with the released schoolboys by 3 pm today.

Inuwa, who spoke through Abdullahi Yar’Adua, his media aide, said that the meeting would take place at the presidential lodge of the government house.

Meanwhile, the young boys are now in the care of Katsina state government as Governor Masari earlier in the day received them.

Some of the schoolboys, as seen in photos and videos, looked unhealthy with some limping as they entered the government house.

The pupils have now been taken to Katsina Hajj camp to receive medical checkup and clothing while they await the President and their parents.
