COVID-19: NCDC Announces 1,041 New Cases, 377 Recoveries, 6 Deaths
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday, December 24 announced 1,041 new coronavirus cases, 377 successfully treated patients and 6 deaths.
The health agency made the announcement via its Twitter page with the new cases recorded in 22 states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The breakdown of the new cases are as follows; Lagos-316, FCT-210, Kaduna-83, Plateau-70, Gombe-56, Oyo-56, Katsina-47, Nasarawa-35, Kano-33, Ogun-21, Rivers-17, Niger-14, Imo-14, Delta-12, Kwara-12, Edo-12, Benue-9, Anambra-8, Taraba-4, Ekiti-4, Ebonyi-6, Bayelsa-1 and Sokoto-1.

With the new toll, the total number of cases in the country has now increased from 80,922 to 81,963 while figures of discharged patients moved from 69,274 to 69,651.
A total of 1,242 deaths have now been recorded thus far in Africa’s most populous country as 6 new deaths was reported in the last 24 hours.
Our discharges today includes 128 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.

As at Thursday, total samples tested was 912,144 across the nation.
