Kankara Abduction: We Rescued Students – Military Dismisses Miyetti Allah’s Involvement
Defence Headquarters has refuted claims that Fulani socio-cultural organisation, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) effected the release of 334 abducted Government Science Secondary School in Kankara, Katsina State.
John Enenche, spokesman of DHQ rather said the military rescued the students and not MACBAN members, as claimed.
The defence headquarters revealed that troops of Operation Hadarin Daji successfully rescued all abducted students of GSSS in Kankara.
Enenche’s remark contradicts claim of Katsina Governor, Aminu Masari and Zamfara Governor, Bello Matawalle, who said MACBAN played a major role in negotiating release of the schoolboys.
In the statement on Friday evening, Enenche also commended the public who “volunteered information are also appreciated”.
