Nigeria Records 999 New Cases, 396 Recoveries, 4 Deaths
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday, December 22 announced 999 new coronavirus cases, 396 successfully treated patients and 4 deaths.
The health agency made the announcement via its Twitter page with the new cases recorded in 17 states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The breakdown of the new cases are as follows; FCT-416, Lagos-324, Kaduna-68, Plateau-42, Kwara-32, Kano-24, Gombe-14, Sokoto-12, Yobe-12, Akwa Ibom-11, Bayelsa-10, Rivers-7, Bauchi-7, Ogun-6, Oyo-5, Edo-4, Taraba-4 and Jigawa-1.

With the new toll, the total number of cases in the country has now increased from 78,790 to 79,789 while figures of discharged patients moved from 68,483 to 68,879.
A total of 1,231 deaths have now been recorded thus far in Africa’s most populous country as 4 new deaths was reported in the last 24 hours.
