Singer Omah Lay Confirms His Arrest By Uganda PoliceNigerian singer, Omah Lay has confirmed that he has been arrested by Uganda Police following his live performance at a concert on Saturday night.

It would be recalled that MDB earlier reported that the singer and another artiste, Tems were apprehended in the Central African country.

Deputy Police Spokesperson in Kampala Metropolitan, Luk Owoyesigyire made announcement in a series of tweets on Sunday without stating a reason.

Few hours after Ugandan Police Force released a statement on its verified Facebook account revealing why the Nigerian singers were arrested.

In the statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Kampala Metropolitan Police; Superintendent of Police, Patrick Onyango, the singers were arrested for flouting COVID-19 guidelines.

Omah Lay has now confirmed his arrest in a tweet shortly after, revealing that it is linked to the show he performed in on Saturday.

He tweeted;

Yes I’m with the Ugandan police, something about the show from last night. Everything would be fine. Omah.
