424 More Nigerians Arrive In Abuja From Saudi ArabiaNigerians in Diaspora Commission (NCDC) has announced the arrival of 424 more Nigerians stranded in Saudi Arabia on Friday.

Chairman of NIDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, made this known via her Twitter handle this afternoon, saying;

424 more Nigerians stranded in Saudi have arrived Abuja. They will proceed on the mandatory 14 days quarantine. We appeal to Nigerians to desist from illegal migration.

The arrival of the stranded Nigerians was also confirmed by NIDCOM via its official Twitter page, saying the returnees arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja via Saudi Air Flight at about 11:58 am today.

The commission added that the returnees will join the 384 returnees that arrived yesterday and are currently undergoing quarantine at the Federal Capital Territory Hajj camp for 14 days in line with COVID-19 guidelines by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.

However, the commission did not state if some Nigerian deportees who cried out for help in a viral video were among the returnees.

The video showed many people, mostly men, wrapped in black polythene bags on the floor in a packed room and the house narrator said some of them have been in that location for about 7 months.

It would also be recalled that MDB reported that 384 Nigerians stranded Nigerians in Saudi Arabia earlier arrived in the country on Thursday.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs had disclosed on Wednesday that 802 Nigerians would return from Saudi Arabia on Thursday and Friday.

It said the citizens who were held at various detention centres over migration issues would be received at the international airport by officials of the ministry.
