NCDC Confirms 1031 New COVID-19 Cases, 391 Recoveries, 11 Deaths
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday, December 31 announced 1,031 new coronavirus cases, 391 successfully treated patients and 11 casualties.
The health agency made the announcement via its Twitter page with the new cases recorded in 15 states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The breakdown of the new cases are as follows; Lagos-570, FCT-117, Kaduna-109, Nasarawa-34, Bauchi-31, Kano-28, Plateau-26, Sokoto-26, Ogun-25, Edo-18, Rivers-16, Abia-10, Imo-7, Taraba-6, Delta-4 and Osun-4.

With the new toll, the total number of cases in the country has now increased from 86,576 to 87,510 while figures of discharged patients moved from 73,322 to 73,713.
A total of 1,289 deaths have now been recorded thus far in Africa’s most populous country as 11 new deaths was reported yesterday.
Our discharges today includes 53 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
