Ex-Man United Player, Paul Scholes Being Probed For Flouting COVID-19 Lockdown Rules Again
Former Manchester United player, Paul Scholes is being probed by the police after appearing to flout lockdown rules in the United Kingdom by going hiking with four of his friends.
Scholes uploaded a clip on Instagram showing him sharing tea and snacks with some friends on a walk in Dovestone Reservoir, Greater Manchester.
In the clip uploaded on Instagram, Scholes’ friends are seen laughing and eating sandwiches at the beauty spot as the Manchester United legend, hands out soup from a flask.
A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) speaking to TheSunOnline, in her words;
GMP has been made aware of a post on social media may show a breach of COVID-legislation. This shall be examined further and will assess whether any police action needs to be taken.
Dovestone Reservoir is popular with walkers and joggers, it lies on the western edge of the Peak District National Park.
Under current lockdown regulations, Brits can only meet a single person outdoors for exercise. Meeting more than one person is strictly prohibited, and you must not travel beyond your local area for exercise.
Scholes earlier broke lockdown rules when his neighbours complained weeks back about his grown-up kids throwing new year’s party with friends.
His 19-year-old daughter, Alicia put pictures on social media of her posing with eight friends at her father’s mansion in Oldham when UK was in Tier 4 restrictions.
The pundit’s £3.5m home was also the subject of a COVID-19 scandal last summer when his son, Aaron celebrated his 21st birthday.
Police spoke to Scholes after the incidence in August, which happened soon after indoor social visits were banned across the UK.
