Gunshots have been reportedly fired as rival factions of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) clashed in Obalende Area of Lagos State on Thursday morning.
According to reports, the clash which started around 8am led to panic in the area as motorists, passengers and passersby scampered for safety.
Several properties are said to have been destroyed, while scores reportedly sustained injuries.
As at the time of filing this report, the clash was reportedly still ongoing.
Amid the clash, motorists and residents have been advised to take alternative routes, pending the arrival of security personnel.
