‘I Have Not Left PDP‘ – Fani-Kayode Denies Yahaya Bello’s Claim Of Joining APC
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has denied claims by Governor Yahaya Bello that he has defected from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Earlier today, Bello while addressing members of the party said Fani-Kayode joined the party in good faith to add his positive energy.
Bello, in a viral video, said;
Our brother and friend, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has joined our party in good faith. He’s joining our party to add his own positive energy and make contribution into ensuring that APC is a party to beat.
Remember that Chief Femi Fani-Kayode was a foundation member of this great party. Due to misunderstanding, he decided to port elsewhere, now he has decided to join our party, approached me, and by the mandate given to me by the party, I must not segregate or discriminate against any individual.
According to Bello, the politician who is a strong critic of the present administration, has seen the light and it is his mandate to sanitiser, mobilise and educate Nigerians irrespective of their background.
However, reacting to this shortly after, Fani-Kayode said he has not left Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He tweeted;
Though we have had meetings across party lines and we are in a season of political consultation I have not left the PDP.
