Kim Kardashian Files For Divorce From Kanye West
Kim and Kanye married in Florence, Italy back in May, 2014 and they share daughters North, seven, Chicago, three, sons Saint, five, and Psalm, one.
She was married him about a year after her divorce from former NBA star Kris Humphries was finalised.
According to NBC, a representative for Kim and a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Superior Court both confirmed the filing.
Reports in US media suggest the reality star, 40, has requested joint legal and physical custody of their children. Neither have publicly commented.
The marriage of the celebrity couple was was thrust into the spotlight last year amid West’s ill-fated run for president and his struggles with mental health.
In a statement last year addressing West’s bi-polar disorder, Kim said;

Kim and Kanye West have also reportedly been living apart for a year amid tension in their marriage.
For years, Kardashian has been the star hit E! reality series “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and other spinoffs of the franchise, chronicling the day-to-day, often dramatic, lives of her extended, affluent Southern California family.
The reality star has found success in many other areas of business, from mobile apps to make-up, and Forbes estimates her personal wealth to be about $780m (£556m).
She’s the daughter of Kris Jenner and late Los Angeles attorney Robert Kardashian, best known as a friend and lawyer for former football great O.J. Simpson.
Kanye West has been one of the biggest names in rap music for over 15 years and has also found incredible success as a fashion designer.
In April 2020, the rapper who was in more than $50 million debt in 2016, saw seen a turn around in 4 years by becoming a billionaire. As of 2021, Kanye West’s net worth is estimated to be roughly $3.2 billion.
