Man United’s Anthony Martial Racially Abused Again After 1-1 Draw With West Brom
Anthony Martial was racially abused on social media for the second time this season after Manchester United‘s 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Sunday , February 14.
Martial played 66 minutes before being replaced by Mason Greenwood as United came back to level against West Brom after going behind inside the first two minutes.

However, after the game, United’s No. 9 was subjected to abuse on his Instagram account, with number of users posting racist messages and symbols on his photos and using the N-word.
It wasn’t the first time the French attacker is a victim of online racist abuse; he was also abused alongside Tuanzebe after United lost to Sheffield United.

It would be recalled that last weekend, United joined their Neighbours Manchester City, Liverpool and Everton to issue a joint statement condemning racist abuse.
Over the weeks, several players have been victims to this online racist abuse- United’s Marcus Rashford, Southampton’s Alex Jankewitz are among the long list.

In response, Instagram announced it will impose stricter penalties including the removal of accounts to prevent abusive messages on its platform after rise in the number of online racist abuse cases.
