NCDC Announces 1,138 New Coronavirus Cases, 1,106 Recoveries And 5 Deaths
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has announced 1,138 new coronavirus cases, 1,106 successfully treated patients and 5 deaths.
With the new toll, total number of infections in Nigeria has now risen to 134,690 on Wednesday, February 3.
NCDC disclosed this in a late-night tweet via its verified Twitter handle, saying the new cases were reported from 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the last 24 hours.

Lagos topped the list of states with fresh infections – reporting 337 more cases and was trailed by FCT, Plateau and Kano where 172, 86, and 84 new COVID-19 cases were reported.
The remaining states are Edo-60, Osun-47, Nasarawa-41, Imo-40, Rivers-36, Niger-32, Oyo-32, Borno-29, Kaduna-27, Delta-18, Kwara-17, Cross River-9, Ekiti-8, Bauchi-7, Ogun-7, Sokoto-6, Bayelsa-3.
Our discharges today include 476 community recoveries in Lagos State and 121 community recoveries in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.

According to NCDC, the agency responsible for the management of disease outbreaks in Nigeria, five more deaths were reported on Wednesday.
There are now 134,690 total coronavirus cases, 108,657 recoveries and 1,618 deaths.
