Tiger Woods May Be Unable To Walk For Three Months Due To Leg Injuries Sustained In Car Crash
Golf legend, Tiger Woods may be unable to exert weight on his left leg for three months due to injuries he sustained from a recent car accident, it has emerged.
Woods sustained serious leg injuries after he crashed while driving an S.U.V. in Los Angeles County. The vehicle crossed over into the opposite lane of traffic and rolled over several times before coming to a stop in a grassy area several hundred feet from where he had been driving.

Woods, a 15-time Major winner, suffered injuries including two open fractures and a shattered ankle, and had to have his right leg put back together with a metal rod, pins and screws.

Bill Mallon, a former PGA Tour golfer and orthopedic surgeon, speaking to MirrorUK about the athlete’s recovery process on Friday, said;
With fractures of this sort in the lower extremities, it takes about three months to heal enough to fully bear weight.
In a bid to get him the best care possible, the 45-year-old Golfer was on Friday moved from Harbor-UCLA Medical Centre to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles – a level one trauma centre known for rehabbing athletes.

Speaking after the Golfer’s transfer, chief medical Director of Woods’ previous hospital, Anish Mahajan said;
Tiger Woods was transferred to Cedars Sinai Medical Center for continuing orthopedic care and recovery.
On behalf of our staff, it was an honor to provide orthopedic trauma care to one of our generation’s greatest athletes.
The severity of his injuries, together with the fact that he was already sidelined following a fifth back operation, leaves his prospects of returning to action under serious threat.
