Court Dissolves Restraining Order Against American Singer, Tamar Braxton Filed By Nigerian Ex-Boyfriend
Restraining order against American reality TV star and singer, Tamar Braxton which was filed by her Nigerian former boyfriend, David Adefeso, has been dismissed.
According to TMZ, the 43-year-old wowan and her estranged partner failed to attend the Tuesday hearing, leading the court to dissolve the legal arrangement.
The dissolution simply means is that Tamar, younger sister of R&B star, Toni Braxton, no longer has to keep her distance from her former boyfriend and they can both been seen in the same locations.
Their relationship drama began after the former “The Real” host attempted to commit suicide and Adefeso saved her life after he found her in their home “lifeless”.
She was rushed to a hospital facility in Los Angeles on July 16 to receive specialized mental health treatment from top specialists.
On September 8, Adefeso filed a “domestic violence” restraining order against the 43-year-old singer in a Lost Angeles court over claims that she had made death threats against him, and assaulted him while he was driving.
According to The Blast, the estranged couple got into a heated altercation while driving to check Tamar into a mental health facility for treatment.
Adefeso in statement back in September said he wished Tamar the best in terms of her ‘mental and emotional stability,’ enunciating that he was ‘the victim in this situation’.
He expressed;
As I document in the filing, I am actually the victim of domestic abuse. One in seven men experience severe physical violence, yet it remains a silent epidemic. As humiliating as this is, I must speak out for my own truth and others who do not have a platform.
Adefeso continued;
Although not part of the filing, I must affirm here and now that I have never physically abused Tamar before, during or after our relationship. Period. I want to resolve our legal issues and move on with my life to focus on my business, my family and the future.
Reacting, Tamar accused him of being the aggressor in the domestic violence incident, claiming he assaulted her and threatened to kill her in a ‘murder-suicide’ manner.

Speaking on ‘Tamron Hall’ show last October, Tamar denied her ex’s claims, saying;
I am a survivor a domestic violence relationship. And not at any point [were] David and I in an abusive relationship.
She also claimed that they had audio recordings which proved her innocent of any physical abuse in the exchange, calling on him to release it.
Tamar Braxton and David Adefeso started dating in 2018 before their split in 2020.
She is the youngest of Braxton siblings, which include sisters Toni (music star), Traci, Towanda, and Trina, as well as their only brother Michael, Jr.
