Terkula Suswam, elder brother of immediate past Benue Governor, Senator Gabriel Suswam, has been reportedly shot dead by gunmen suspected to be assassins.
According to TheNation, he was killed around 8:46pm on Tuesday night alongside his aide in Anyiin, Gaambetiev in Logo local Government area in Benue state.
An eye witness, who pleaded anonymity, said the late Suswam was carrying out minor repair works at the gate of his house when a Toyota vehicle, popularly called “Dog Nyash” drove by.
The source added that the victim was suspicious of the vehicle and attempted to run into the house but was gunned down.
The gunmen also killed an aide, who was with him at the entrance of his gate house.
Benue police command or Senator Gabriel Suswam were yet to release a report regarding the incident.
