Feminist Coalition has been accused of secretly transferring $51,000 (N23m) worth of bitcoin from donations received during #EndSARS protest that rocked Nigeria last October, into another wallet.
The not-for-profit organisation gained prominence over their active involvement during the demonstrations in October, 2020.
They helped in organising crowd funding platforms as well as the disbursements of funds and essentials aids to protesters across the country.
Through crowdfunding, the protest received over #147 million in cash and bitcoins from all over the world, which Feminist Coalition as an organisation coordinated to help purchase medical supplies, provide legal aids, food, relief and other necessary supplies for #EndSARS protesters.
Many of the members of the organization like Modupe ‘Mochievous’ Odele and Feyikemi ‘FK’ Abudu spearheaded sub-groups, providing legal services, transporting foods/drinks and other essentials services.

During the protest, the organization in a statement, said that their bank account made was frozen by CBN, which resulted to receiving Bitcoin donations
Furthering promote the cryptocurrency wallet for the donation, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey via his official account asked his followers to donate via the Coalition’s Bitcoin address.
However, there are an allegations that the Coalition has secretly withdrew $51,000 worth of Bitcoin from their donation wallet on March 5.

According to a Twitter user @RX_Deyholar who brought up the allegation in a tweet made on March 12, claimed that the coalition has cleared the bitcoin donation from their wallet since March 5.

The Twitter user then shared a link to proof that the Bitcoin wallet address is owned by Feminist Coalition.

The person then shared a video of transactions that have taken place on the wallet, amounting to about 19 transactions.

Giving an update shortly after, the Twitter user revealed that the Bitcoin withdrawn from the wallet was transferred into a fresh Bitcoin wallet, alleging suspicious activities by the feminist group.

The group, who has in time past been accused of not being transparent with their expenses during and after the protest, was yet to react to the allegations, as at the time of filing this report.
