Nigerian singer, Barry Jhay, who was arrested in Ghana in connection to the death of his label boss Karshy Gordon, has been cleared of murder charges by Ghanaian police.
It would be recalled that Karshy, the owner of Cash Nation record label, died on Sunday, March 7 after he reportedly fell from the 4th floor of an apartment in Ghana.
Although circumstances surrounding his death were uncertain as at the time of his passing, some reports claimed he took his own life after battling depression for a long time, while others alleged he was pushed off the building by someone.
There were reports that shortly before he died, Karshy had an heated altercation with Barry, where the record label boss physically assaulted his signee, leaving him badly injured.
Following the tragic death of Karshy, Barry was reportedly arrested for being in connection with his boss’ passing, while investigation was ongoing.

In latest development Barry announced his freedom while releasing a report of the investigation carried out by Ghanaian police via his Instagram account on Tuesday, March 16.
According to the report, Barry was attacked by his record label boss shortly after his girlfriend rushed in to where he (Barry) was recording a song to report that Karshy was behaving abnormally.
Unfortunately, about 12 minutes after Barry left the hotel room because he intervened in the situation and instead got attacked by Karshy with various harmful objects including a knife, Karshy jumped down from the 4th floor of the hotel.

The report further revealed that an eyewitness and CCTV footage corroborated the claim.
According to Ghanaian Police;
the investigations conducted so far has proven that the suspect, Oluwakayode Balogun is not guilty and has been cleared of all murder charges against him as postmortem examinations carried out on the deceased showed that he died of severe head injury and fall from a height.
The latest information comes few days after Karshy’s girlfriend, Ada disclosed that Barry had no hand in his death and asked people to stop sending her boyfriend death threats.
